E-Malt.com News article: Solomon Islands: Beer prices grow due to high demand and low stocks
Brewery news

An increase in demand for beer over the festive season has given reason to bottle shop owners and distributors across the Solomon Islands to increase their price, Solomon Times Online posted on December, 29.

According to a SolBrew worker, the prices were increased because SolBrew beers at the factory are out of stock due to very high demand.

The worker said that because of limited supply in stock, bottle shop owners and distributors decided that it was valid reason to an increase in price.

This was however not received well by customers who complained that there is no justification to the sudden price increase.

They reasoned that despite limited supply in stock, wholesale price for beers at the factory still remains the same, which gives no reason for such an increase.
