Carlsberg A/S announced on August 14 that on 15 August 2003, Lars Påhlson, 44 years, Senior Vice President for the Nordic countries takes over the management responsibility for Carlsberg Sverige AB in order to strengthen sales and marketing in Sweden, promote the restructuring process and ensure a better utilisation of potential synergies between the Danish and Swedish businesses. Lars Påhlson continues as General Manager for Carlsberg Danmark A/S and as chairman of the Board of Directors of Ringnes a.s., Norway and Oy Sinebrychoff Ab, Finland, whereas Carlsberg Breweries' group management takes over the responsibility for the Nordic integration projects within IT, administration and procurement.

In order to relieve Lars Påhlson in Denmark, Director of Logistics Lars Krejberg Petersen, 40 years, is appointed Deputy General Manager in Carlsberg Denmark. He will still be responsible for logistics in Denmark. Carlsberg Sverige is suggesting to union representatives that Director of Production Ulla Edling, 57 years, is appointed Deputy General Manager. She will still be responsible for production.

In Sweden, negotiations are initiated with the union representatives about the possibilities to transfer the production in Bromma near
Stockholm to Falkenberg and Copenhagen and about combining certainDanish and Swedish administrative functions. A consequence of this would be that the headquarter is moved from Stockholm to Falkenberg. Joachim Cederblad, general manager of Carlsberg Sverige since 1 January 2002, does not want to move from Stockholm and therefore leaves the Group.
