E-Malt.com News article: Ukraine: Record 967,600 tonnes of barley exported in August

In August, 2008 Ukraine exported 2 mln tonnes of grain and legumes, compared to 1.7 mln tonnes in the previous month, which has set a new record for exports within the past eight seasons, APK-Inform cited official sources on September, 9.

Barley constituted 48% of the exported grain. In total, exported barley supplies amounted to 967,600 tonnes.

During period of July and August 2008/09 MY, Ukraine exported 3.7 mln tonnes of grain, as opposed to 151,900 tonnes in the previous season.
