Nigerian Breweries Plc, the leading brewing company in the Nigeria has donated food stuffs worth N500000 to the Umuezeani community in Enugu state where storm claimed some of their belongings recently, the Nigerian Bulletin posted on June 30.

Mr. Alex Lowther, Brewering Manager of Ama community said as he presented the food items, that the donation is a corporate social responsibility to the company’s host community as a result of the damage experienced after the storm.

Alex also called on other corporate organizations and the Local and State Government to assist the community where necessary.

Mr. Vivian Ikem, External Communication Manager, East of Nigerian Breweries, said decision was made for donation has the company could not stand to see the people of the community suffer after all they had lost.

In appreciation to the social responsibility, Mr. Juke Okolo and Mr. Bonaventure Agu, Secretary of Udi Local Government Area and Community Chairman respectively expressed their joy for the donation.
