The Georgian brewing company, “Kazbeghi”, based in the former republic of USSR, Georgia, will send this week 45,000 half litre bottles of beer in Iraq, Interfax reported in a statement. The shipment will be made according to a long-term agreement under which the company will export in Iraq five brands of beer. The company has also plans to export about 32,000 bottles of beer in USA. “Kazbeghi” is controlled by the French group Castel. The production of “Kazbeghi” is very popular in Georgia. In 2000 the Georgian company exported about 60,000 bottles of beer in Russia. Its beer brands were awarded gold medals at Moscow beer competitions in 2000 and 2002.
