E-Malt.com News article: Australia: Australian brewery creates a German 'Hefeweizen'
Brewery news

Snowy Mountains Brewery has created 'Charlotte's Hefeweizen', inspired by the traditional German wheat beer, Foodweek reported March 27.

Few people might have known that, in fact, there is a German Beer Day in Australia - on April 23th.

German Beer Day is a celebration of German beer originating from a tradition in Germany since 1987. One of Germany’s favorite warm spring weather beers is the traditional wheat beer called the ‘Hefeweizen’.

Australia's Snowy Mountains Brewery got inspired by the Hefeweizen recipe and created its own Hefeweizen. At last year’s Australian Hotel Beer Awards, the ‘Charlotte’s Hefeweizen’ was named Australia’s best wheat beer.
