Heavitree Brewery PLC reported a rise in full year pretax profit to 2.65 mln stg from 2.19 mln while turnover was down 0.9 pct, and said it is "well positioned" to cope with industry pressures, according to Thomson Financial, February 18.

The company declared a final dividend of 7 pence per share, taking the total dividend for the year to 11.5 pence per share as compared to 11 pence the previous year.

The company said revenue for the year to end-Dec 2007 slipped to 13.29 mln stg from 13.41 mln.
