At the end of December 2007 Baltika Breweries will start to export “Baltika No 0 alcohol free” beer to Tanzania, according to company’s press release, December 21. The beer will be sold in Dar Es Salaam city which population constitutes 4 million inhabitants as well as in Arusha, Mwanza, Dodoma, Mbeya and Zanzibar Island.

Baltika beer will be positioned on “super premium” segment. Its price will be $1.10 in Off-trade segment and $2.60 in On-trade. Baltika’s distributor in Tanzania is “Inchagne Investment Ltd” who considers a strategically right decision to come to the market with an alcohol free beer.

Baltika Breweries is the largest FMCG producer in Russia. Ever since 1996, it has been the leader on the Russian beer market. The Baltika brand occupies second place in Europe in terms of sales. The Company owns 11 breweries across all of Russia and has an extensive portfolio of brands. Baltika has around 12,000 employees.
