Brewery news

Big Rock Brewery, Canada's leading craft brewery, is excited to announce that two of their beers, Grasshopper and Jack Rabbit, have been awarded gold medals at this year's Canadian Brewing Awards, according to Marketwire, November 22.

The Canadian Brewing Awards have become a premiere competition for judging the quality of Canadian-brewed beer. This year over 200 beers were entered into the competition. Gold, silver and bronze were awarded to the top three beers, across 21 different categories. All beers were judged based on appearance, aroma, flavour, mouth feel and overall impression.

Grasshopper, a unique wheat ale, was awarded gold in the Wheat Beer North American Style category for its exceptionally refreshing, delicately hopped flavour. Jack Rabbit, Big Rock's lightest lager, was recognized as top Light (Calorie Reduced) Lager at the competition.

Big Rock is very proud of its family of beers and to be recognized as a leader in the Canadian marketplace reinforces what the company strives for every day: to brew the best beer possible.
