The Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine does not exclude the possibility of prolongation of quotation of grain export till the end of the current marketing year (July 2007 - June 2008) with simultaneous increase of quotas volume, AgriMarket reported November 9.

According to the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Boris Supikhanov, they have already fixed the grain export quota volume of 1.2 mln tonnes; however they are likely to permit export of more grain - about 2 mln tonnes.

At that, he declared that they would regard the final decision as for regulation of grain export considering the remains of winter crops and grain balances following the results of harvesting campaign current year.

As we informed before, on October 31, 2007, the Government of Ukraine postponed the increase of grain export quotas to 1.203 mln tonnes to December 31, 2007. In September, the Government decided to fix since November 1, 2007 to March 31, 2008 the quotas for grain export in the volume of 1.203 mln tonnes, 0.4 mln tonnes of which for barley.
