San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen, San Mig Light, Red Horse, San Miguel Super Dry and Cerveza Negra of San Miguel Corporation notched golds in the recent Monde Selection International for Quality Selections 2007 awarding held in Brussels, Belgium, the company posted in a press release on August 30th.

Also making it to the winners’ circle is San Miguel Guangdong Brewery’s San Miguel Light Beer while silver medals were awarded to San Mig Light (PT Delta Djakarta Brewery), San Mig Light (San Miguel Hong Kong Brewery) and San Miguel Pale Pilsen (San Miguel Vietnam Brewery, San Miguel Guangdong Brewery).

San Mig Light brands from San Miguel Thailand Brewery and San Miguel Vietnam Brewery along with San Miguel Baoding Brewery’s Blue Star were accorded bronze medals.

“Year in and year out, we are happy to be recognized by a prestigious organization like Monde. Our 22 medals this year once again confirm our shared belief with our patrons that San Miguel is one of the best beers in the world,” San Miguel Beer Division president Carlos M. Berba said.

Monde Selection is an Independent International Institute founded in 1961 on a Belgian initiative in Brussels, making it the oldest and most representative organization in the field of Quality Selections world-wide. San Miguel Beer products have annually figured in their list of winners.

The award was held at the Grand Marina Hotel in Barcelona and San Miguel’s 22 medals were received by Philippine Embassy Valencia Consul Ms. Carmen Sanchis in behalf of the corporation.
