E-Malt.com News article: Canada: Lakeport Brewing Income Fund announces $0.04 increase to special cash distribution
Brewery news

Lakeport Brewing Income Fund, an Ontario-based brewer of value-priced quality beer, announced in its press release, February 14, that it is increasing by $0.04 per unit its previously declared special cash distribution payable on March 15, 2007 to holders of record as of December 29, 2006. As a result, the special cash distribution will total $0.39 per unit.

"With the preliminary completion of the Fund's financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2006, we have determined that we have excess distributable cash," said Teresa Cascioli, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of the Fund. "We are very pleased that our outstanding performance in 2006 enables us to increase the previously announced planned special cash distribution to $0.39 per unit."

The incremental special cash distribution is not indicative of future performance. The Fund currently estimates that its monthly distributions in 2007 will be maintained at $0.14 per unit.
