Brewery news

Consumption of non-alcoholic beer in Brazil continues to rise year after year. According to Euromonitor data, 700 million litres of this beverage were sold in 2023—more than double the volume recorded in 2021, when sales reached 340 million litres, and five times more than in 2019, when the market totaled 140 million litres.

The most recent forecast from the same consulting firm projects that non-alcoholic beer sales will reach 780 million litres in 2024, confirming the strength of a trend that is becoming firmly embedded in the preferences and lifestyles of Brazilian consumers. In 2025, sales are expected to rise further, reaching 880 million litres.

According to Márcio Maciel, executive director of the National Union of the Beer Industry (Sindicerv), the category's significant growth is directly related to changing consumer behavior and industry innovation. "Non-alcoholic beers offer flavor, quality, and innovation. The industry has understood this trend and has invested heavily in technology to offer products as good as traditional beers," Maciel stated.
