The Pennsylvania Beer Wholesalers Association has decided to launch a petition to try to block the plan of the state’s Governor, Ed Rendell, to triple the tax on beer from USD 0.08 to USD 0.25. There were made no increase in beer tax since 1947. If the proposal has been adopted, the cost of a case of beer would rise by USD 0.38, the Reading Eagle writes.
