The Danish Brewery Group (Bryggerigruppen A/S) initiated negotiations with the employees of the Group's brewery in Randers with a view to a closure of the brewery in the autumn of 2003. These negotiations did not give rise to changes to the basis for decisions presented in February, and at its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of The Danish Brewery Group has therefore authorised the Executive Board to close the Group's brewery in Randers in the autumn of 2003.

Beer production from Randers will be transferred to Ceres Bryggerierne in Århus, where also Heineken will be produced in future. The soft drinks production will be transferred to Faxe Bryggeri, where there both is capacity available at present and possibilities for expansion of capacity in future.
