America's brewers are preparing for a nationwide promotion in remembrance of the end of Prohibition, which was repealed 70 years ago, this year. On April 7, at least 200 brewers and wholesalers will raise the Repeal flag and tap a Repeal style beer on what has been dubbed "New Beer's Eve", Realbeer.com writes.

"People need to be reminded of the single biggest cause of brewery closure. Prohibition led to the demise of thousands of breweries and the creation of a violent criminal element. We need to remember this travesty, because it could happen again", Daniel Bradford, President of The Brewers' Association of America tells the news service.
