E-Malt.com News article: USA: Cargill AgHorizons announces Sales Certification Program
Barley news

Cargill AgHorizons has introduced a new program requiring that all of its farm marketing sales staff pass a series of tests to become certified as a “Certified SolutionPro” in promoting and selling the company’s grain marketing solutions to producer customers, Cargill announced on November 10. The certification process involves extensive product training, role- playing and the successful completion of a written test for each of the nearly two-dozen Cargill AgHorizons product offerings.

“Our sales staff has always set a high standard in terms of the training and knowledge they bring to serving our customers,” said Dennis Inman, Cargill AgHorizons customer solutions leader. “But with the growing complexity and sophistication of grain marketing programs nowadays, the Certified SolutionPro program takes this sales expertise, product knowledge and professionalism a step further, formalizing our approach in working with farmer customers. While it may be common in some other industries, we believe that our sales certification program is a first for the grain marketing industry.”

Inman noted that certification will help elevate the high level of performance by Cargill AgHorizons sales staff and enhance the level of confidence that customers have in working with farm marketers.

“Our customers deserve the very best. With the Certified SolutionPro program, we feel that we can deliver a premium sales experience and better achieve our goal of helping farmers prosper,” said Inman.

A business unit of Cargill, Incorporated, Cargill AgHorizons (www.cargillaghorizons.com) is a customer-focused organization working to bring product and service solutions to producers. Cargill is an international provider of food, agricultural and risk management products and services. With 124,000 employees in 59 countries, the company is committed to using its knowledge and experience to collaborate with customers to help them succeed.
