E-Malt.com News article: Canada, PE & NS: Upstreet Craft Brewing planning entrance into Nova Scotia beer market this week
Brewery news

Upstreet Craft Brewing is planning its entrance into the Nova Scotia beer market with four days of events starting with a launch party at the Stubborn Goat Gastro Pub in Halifax Jan. 14, Truro Daily News reported on January 11.

The brewery also has tap takeovers planned at Stillwell Bar and Good Robot Brewing Co., as well as several tasting sessions at Bishops Cellar.

In addition to being on tap at a number of Halifax establishments, bottles will be sold at Bishops Cellar. The product line includes Upstreet flagships strawberry-rhubarb wheat beer, traditional Czech pilsner, white IPA and American pale ale and it also offers a rotating selection of seasonal beers.

The brewery opened its doors in Charlottetown, PE in the summer of 2015 and within six months the beer was selling in dozens of local restaurants and pubs, while bottle sales were exceeding expectations. Its reputation for beer, as well as for building strong partnerships and giving back to the community helped Upstreet to position itself as a player in the Maritime beer industry, say the owners.

Mitch Cobb, the company's co-founder and CEO, hopes that Upstreet will have similar success in Nova Scotia as it has seen in P.E.I.

"We are excited about launching into Nova Scotia," he said. "We recognize that it has one of the strongest craft beer cultures in Atlantic Canada and hope that our beer is well received. We believe we have something new to offer N.S. craft beer fans."
