E-Malt.com News article: USA, NY: A team of three teachers to open craft brewery in Marcy
Brewery news

Three teachers have decided to take on a part time hobby, they're going to be opening a brewery in Marcy, NY, WKTV reported.

Keith Redhead, a social studies teacher in Oriskany, Nick Natishack, a physics teacher in Rome and A.J. Spado, an earth science teacher in Rome, have been friends for years and all have wanted to open up a brewery someday, and now their dream is coming true.

The three have leased a property that used to house a pizza shop on Trenton Rd. in Marcy and are very busy making renovations to the building to try to be ready for an early January opening of Woodland Hop Farm & Fermentation.

On November 22, four large stainless steel fermenters were delivered from California.

The three teachers plan to start brewing the week after Thanksgiving and their hope is to be able to serve their first craft beers in early January.
