On Wednesday Alan Richard the General Director of Russia’s Kaluga Brewing Company said at a press conference that the company intends to increase its licensed production of Holsten beer to over 2 million deciliters this year. Last year Kaluga Brewing Company produced 1.3 million deciliters of Holsten beer.

A Prime Tass report reveals that German Holsten-Brauerei AG and British SABMiller PLC signed a 15-year contract with Kaluga Brewing Company stipulating the production of Holsten Premium and Holsten Festbier at Kaluga. Kaluga Brewing Company produces about 16% of all licensed beer production in Russia. Beer brands produced by the Company includes Holsten, Miller, Staropramen and Russian brand Zolotaya Bochka.
