E-Malt.com News article: USA, WI: Titletown Brewing Co. expanding in Green Bay
Brewery news

Titletown Brewing Co. on June 25 put its name on its expansion at Larsen Green in Green Bay, greenbaypressgazette.com reported.

Construction workers added “Titletown” to the smokestack that is part of the former Larsen Canning Co. structures on Broadway being rehabbed by Smet Construction Services and the brewery, partners in the $3.5 million project.

The expansion, which will include a production facility, tap room, offices and other amenities, is 65 percent complete, said Jim Kratowicz, Titletown’s chief operating officer.

New windows will be installed on the Broadway side of the building in about two weeks.

“That’s going to be a huge difference,” Kratowicz said.

The construction timeline calls for the tap room to open in mid-August, followed by onsite brewing on Sept. 1. Some offices will be complete in September as well, followed by retail space in October.

Titletown Brewing opened in 1996 in the former Chicago & North Western Railroad depot on Dousman Street near the west bank of the Fox River. It is a combined microbrewery and restaurant.

Titletown provides draft beer to bars and restaurants, but had not had space for a bottling operation. The new facility will allow it to do so, and distribute its products to a wider audience.

Titletown president Brent Weycker said the expansion will add about 10 jobs and increase production from 1,800 barrels annually to 5,000 barrels.
