E-Malt.com News article: Canada, BC: Dead Frog Brewery releases a new line of beers
Brewery news

Dead Frog Brewery has taken the opportunity offered by the release of a new sampler pack to unveil a slew of changes to its brand line-up and packaging, Canadian Beer News reported on July, 22.

The new Dead Frog Summer Mixer 12 pack is out now and features three new beers: the Session Vienna Lager, The Bold Belgian Pale Ale & The Seasonal Citrus Wit, along with a slightly renamed older brand, The Classic Nut Brown Ale.

All four beers are packaged in brown glass bottles, replacing the clear glass that was previously used for all 341 ml bottles from the brewery. And in addition to the new naming format, they all sport newly designed labels with improved details including the malts and hops used, IBUs, colour and suggested glassware.

In addition to appearing in the mixed pack, all four beers are available on their own in 6 packs and kegs, the first three year-round, and the Citrus Wit through the summer months. It also appears that older flagship brands Dead Frog Lager and Dead Frog Pale Ale have been retired and replaced in the core line-up by Vienna Lager and Belgian Pale Ale respectively.

Also new in 341 ml bottles is The Fearless IPA, a 6.5% abv & 77 IBU ale that was originally released last fall in 650 ml bombers. It will remain available year-round in 6 packs and kegs.

Unaffected by these changes so far are Dead Frog’s Pepper Lime Lager and Mandarin Orange Amber Ale, both of which remain available in the original clear glass packaging.
