Namibia Breweries Limited has registered a drop of more than 19% in its pre-tax profits. This loss is due in great part,as Lionel Matthews, the Financial Director of Namibian brewery recognizes himself, to the marketing strategy and competitive force of its main rival- South African Breweries. Due to the same rivalry the earnings per Namibia Breweries ‘ share have also decreased by 31.8c from 61,3c to 29,5c at present.

However, Lionel Matthews has declared that Namibia Breweries Limited prepares a plan of response to the SAB’s aggressive marketing and pricing but mentioned that the brewery doesn’t intend to engage in a price war.
