Carlsberg brewery from Denmark has declared that it revised and innovated its accounting policies in compliance with the new accounting rules adopted by the Danish Parliament last summer. These new policies will be applied from the first quarter of 2002.

Carlsberg has also acknowledged that its net profit for 2001 was reevaluated in accordance with the new rules and its value now is of DKK 2.151 billion. This figure is inferior to that announced previously by Carlsberg (DKK2.616 billion)as it has taken into account the amortization of intangible assets and capitalized software.
