E-Malt.com News article: Canada, QC : Microbrasserie Le Coureur Des Bois opens near Lac-Saint-Jean
Brewery news

Quebec’s Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region is known for its long history of fur trapping and trading, so it’s fitting that the newest brewery in the area is paying homage to that history with its name and branding, Canadian Beer News reported on December, 21.

Microbrasserie Le Coureur des bois – which translates literally to “The Runner of The Woods”, and colloquially to “The Trapper” – was scheduled to open on December, 21 in Dolbeau-Mistassini, a small city north of Lac-Saint-Jean. Operating as a brewpub, it will offer four year-round house brands, each named after local wildlife that corresponds to the colour of the beer: l’Ourse Noir (Black Bear), le Reynard Rousse (Red Fox), le Harfang Blanche (White Snowy Owl), and le Lynx Blonde (Yellow Lynx). Occasional seasonals are also planned, and beer from other Quebec craft breweries will be available as well.
