E-Malt.com News article: Canada, BC: Pacific Western Brewery to release a new limited edition beer
Brewery news

Pacific Western Brewery has announced the release of a new limited edition beer, Pacific Schwarzbock, Canadian Beer News reported on September, 1.

Commemorating the 20th year of ownership President and CEO Kazuko Komatsu, and created by PWB’s German brewmaster Peter Boettcher, the beer is described as follows:

The name “Schwarzbock” derives from the German word for black (“schwarz”) and strong beer (“bock”). Pacific Schwarzbock is true to German-style bocks, with an alcohol content of 8%. Pacific Schwarzbock is brewed with just enough black malts to give the beer its deep black color without tasting burned.

Pacific Schwarzbock is available now at private beer and wine stores throughout BC. It’s packaged in 500 ml swing-top bottles, each housed in a pine beetle wood collector’s box, and retailing for C$8.99.
