The Turkey’s brewing force, Turk Tuborg, mainly owned by the Danish brewing group, Carlsberg, has posted a net profit of TL8.9 trillion, (EUR 5.9 million) for the first six months of 2003, up 134% versus TL3.8 trillion (EUR 2.5 million) in the first half of 2002. However, operating profit fell from TL5.9 trillion (EUR 3.9 million) to TL402 billion (EUR 266 thousand). Gross sales rose to TL68.1 trillion (EUR 45 million) from TL58.5 trillion (EUR 38.7 million) in the first half of last year.
