Indian barley futures ended higher on short-covering and improved demand in the physical market, analysts said, according to Reuters, April 22.

Spot prices rose by 8 rupees to 1,079 rupees per 100 kg in Jaipur, a major trading centre.

At close, the May futures contract NBLK8 was at 1,090.8 rupees per 100 kg, up 1 percent.
