The S&N subsidiary, Brasseries Kronenbourg, the France’s largest beer maker, announced that it has launched a range of aromatic flavoured beers aimed at the trendiest of consumers. "Kronenbourg Fizz" is flavoured with gin and lime while "Rhum Spirit", part of the 1664 brand is laced with rum extracts,” the company said.

Kronenbourg has also set itself the three-year objective of taking its Foster's brand from sixth to second place on the French market for special beers where it currently sells around 60,000 hectolitres annually after its launch a year ago. It is also targeting the international development of 1664 having invested EUR 28 million in promoting the brand in both the UK and the US.

With over 9 million hectolitres per year, Brasseries Kronenbourg has over 40% of the French market , making the company by far the biggest brewer in the country.
