The Russian investor, Renova, has purchased a controlling stake in the Irkutskpisheprom brewer, which has 7% of the market in Siberia, according to a Vedomosti statement. The stake was reportedly worth RUB 30 million. However, analysts believe that the deal is a short-term investment and that Renova will sell it once consolidation begins for real on the Russian beer market.
