E-Malt.com News article: Namibia: Peroni Nastro Azzurro to be launched in Namibia
Brewery news

Castle Brewing Namibia (CBN) has revealed that it will launch Peroni Nastro Azzuro, the celebrated Italian premium beer, in Namibia, as the shift to premium brands continues to gain momentum, Namibian published August 15.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro is set to broaden its global reach, following its recent and already phenomenally successful introduction to the South African market.

SABMiller acquired Peroni's Italian brewery, Birra Peroni, in 2003, and the brand has subsequently been launched in 12 markets globally.

CBN Managing Director, Cobus Bruwer said, "Peroni Nastro Azzurro is one of the fastest growing premium beer brands globally.

In South Africa, the brand grew by more than 800 per cent last financial year.

The brand is still seeing fundamental growth in all the global markets and we are expecting to see this growth continue."

He also added that Peroni will be positioned as a stylish Italian icon in the beer market.

"Peroni Nastro Azzurro is a stylish Italian brand that encompasses the flair and effortless style that is exuded by the Italians," he said.

"Peroni Nastro Azzurro is brewed according to the original Italian recipe.

The beer is crisp and refreshing in taste.

"This is the only beer brand that represents the marriage of premium quality and Italian craftsmanship.

Peroni Nastro Azzurro has a rich Peroni family heritage and is synonymous with Italian style, authenticity and quality.

Ultimately, it is Italian design applied to beer."
