William K. Coors has retired from the Adolph Coors Company and Coors Brewing Company boards. Coors is a 64-year veteran of the company and grandson of the brewery's founder, Adolph Coors. He has been a board member since 1973, serving as chairman until 2002. His new role with the company will include serving as chief technical advisor.

Founded in 1873, Coors Brewing Company is the third-largest US brewer and the second-largest brewer in the UK. The company sells its products in North America, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia.
