Anheuser-Busch, Inc., the world's largest brewer, and local distributor Bacardi Dominicana announced on May 13 the introduction and distribution of Budweiser in the Dominican Republic. "We are excited to bring the outstanding quality and tradition of Budweiser to the Dominican Republic," said Bob Kelley, managing director - Caribbean, Anheuser-Busch, Inc. "Anheuser-Busch is committed to satisfying consumer demand for the world's most popular beer, and the success of the Budweiser brand continues to show there are opportunities for growth around the globe."

Budweiser has been brewed since 1876 and is produced using only the finest barley malt, rice, hops, yeast and water. The brand is brewed at 12 breweries in the United States and nine other locations worldwide, and is available in more than 80 countries.

Budweiser's introduction in the Dominican Republic is supported with radio, television and print advertising and a full line of point-of-sale materials.
"Adult consumers here in the Dominican Republic are very perceptive," said Jose Castellvi, president, Bacardi Dominicana. "They want products with a refreshing taste and a solid reputation. With Budweiser, we are offering them the world's best-selling beer with Anheuser-Busch's commitment to quality and innovation."
Budweiser is available in six- and 24-pack 12-ounce bottles and is no more than 6.0 percent alcohol by volume for each 12 oz. serving. Budweiser is sold in local bars, clubs, restaurants, retail grocers and convenience stores.
Bacardi Dominicana, based in Santo Domingo, is the local distributor of Budweiser and Bacardi products in the Dominican Republic.
