The Královský Pivovar Krušovice (the Royal Brewery of Krušovice) one of the oldest breweries in the Czech Republic, posted a profit of CZK41.5m for 2002, versus CZK600,000 in 2001, on sales of CZK1 billion, up from CZK804.7m in 2001. The company’s export grew by 30% in 2002. However, total output in 2002 fell by 32,000 hl to 674,400 hl, a decline attributed to growing low-priced competition in the Czech Republic.

Krusovice, is part of the German brewing force, Binding Brauerei, which is in turn controlled by the Dr. Oekter group.
