Fourth-quarter earnings at the Canadian brewer, Molson, rose by 80% to C$60.6m (US$42.7m), from C$33.6m in the corresponding quarter last year.
In bullish mood, the company's president and CEO, Daniel O'Neill, said the company would be seeking a further acquisition during the coming 18 months.
Net sales revenues for the quarter rose by 10% to C$501.5m from C$455.9m. Both earnings per share and revenues were ahead of analysts' forecasts.
However, Molson said that its volumes in Canada had fallen by 4.8%, with its market share declining from 45.3% to 44.3%.
