E-Malt.com News article: Poland: Most Poles oppose treating non-alcoholic beer like alcoholic beverages
Brewery news

Most Poles oppose treating non-alcoholic beer like alcoholic beverages, according to a survey commissioned by industry group Browary Polskie.

Some 71% of respondents oppose a ban on sales of alcohol-free beer, while 57% believe its advertising should remain legal.

Consumers increasingly view 0.0% beer as an alternative to alcohol, with 61.5% calling it a substitute for regular beer and 52.3% saying it can help reduce alcohol consumption. The category is also outperforming the broader beer market. Sales of non-alcoholic beer rose 16.2% y/y in H1 2026, while alcoholic beer sales fell 11.2%.

The industry argues that tighter restrictions could slow a category aligned with NoLo and health-conscious consumption trends.
