In his new role, Barrios will be responsible for leading the community involvement and state legislative affairs strategies and programs for Heineken USA.

Barrios has spent his professional career with Heineken USA and will mark his seventh year with the Company later this month. Following two years as a merchandiser, Barrios transitioned to the Corporate Relations aspect of the business, earning a promotion during spring 2001 to Industry & Government Affairs Manager (West), a position he held for the next four years out of the Company's regional headquarters in El Segundo, CA. In January 2005, Barrios earned a second promotion to Public Affairs Manager (West).

"I am proud of my deep roots within Heineken USA and to continue to serve this company in an expanded capacity," said Barrios. "I'm looking forward to putting my expertise in public affairs to work in this new position, and to helping Heineken USA continue to demonstrate its commitment to responsible corporate citizenship."

In addition to his day-to-day responsibilities as a Public Affairs professional for Heineken USA, Barrios has represented the Company on the Boards of Directors for the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL), The California Latino Caucus Institute (CLCI) and the Los Angeles Chapter of the Hispanic MBA's. Barrios' community involvement also extends to the Sacramento Asian Chamber of Commerce, the Mexican Cultural Institute and the Zulu Organization of New Orleans.

"I am delighted that we are able to make this appointment from within the Heineken USA family," said Dan Tearno, Vice President of Corporate Relations, Heineken USA. "Sergio has been an integral part of our public affairs team on the West Coast and his previous experience and the relationships he has cultivated make him a tremendous asset to our team. With confidence, we will rely upon Sergio to continue to lend his expertise to a larger segment of our business."

Born in Oceanside, CA, Barrios currently resides in Carson, CA with his wife, Theresa, and will be relocating to White Plains, NY. Barrios received both his bachelor's degree in Political Science and Masters of Public Administration degree from San Diego State University in San Diego, California.
