Brewery news

Ravinder Minhas announced October 09 the acquisition of the Joseph Huber Brewery in Wisconsin. The oldest brewery in the Midwest is also getting a new name; it will now be known as Minhas Craft Brewery. This acquisition makes Mr. Minhas, who is just 24 years old, the youngest commercial brewery owner in the world.

The brewery has a long tradition of making world-class beers at this location since 1845. In fact, the brewing started here three years before the formation of the State of Wisconsin.

The new owner, Ravinder Minhas, was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He got his start early in the beer and liquor business by launching his first company at the age of 18 (the legal drinking age of his home province Alberta). He has since sold over 300 million cans of beer in Canada, led by his very popular flagship brand Mountain Crest Classic Lager. For the last three years, he has been brewing and packaging his brands at the Joseph Huber Brewery. Over the last several years, 80% of the brewery's production has been exported to Canada. The brewery also brews Mountain Creek Classic Lager, which is already available across the Midwest and is one of the fastest-growing beer brands in the region.

Minhas Craft Brewery has some big plans, including the introduction of a new hand-crafted premium beer for the Wisconsin and the Midwest region in time for the Holiday Season.
