Brewery news

Pittsburgh Brewing Co. plans to reintroduce its I.C. Golden Lager craft beer in the next few days, Centre Daily Times posted August 11.

The brewery is bringing back the beer, originally introduced in the '80s, because craft beers are the fastest-growing segment of the beer market, company officials said. The brew uses a special malt and fermentation process, followed by cold aging.

The brewery, which also makes Iron City Beer, I.C. Light and Augustiner, will be selling the lager to taverns and restaurants in the greater Pittsburgh area. Within a month, consumers will be able to buy the bottled product at beer distributors and other outlets.
