E-Malt.com News article: Russia: “Ochakovo” has paid taxes worth RUR2.5 billion in 2005

“Ochakovo” group has listed in budgets of all levels RUR2.5 billion in 2005. 60% of paid taxes refer to excise and VAT payments. It is planned, that in 2006 tax payments will go beyond RUR3 billion.

“Ochakovo” companies are big employers in their region. Each of them employs between 500 and 2500 people. The aggregate number of employees in 2005 has made almost 6000 persons. Thus it is known, that creation of one workplace in brewing branch entails creation up to eight places in allied industries. The company gives a big attention to social support of employees.

The group spent for charity purposes RUR6.3 billion.
