Granite City Food & Brewery announced on January 31 the opening of its 12th restaurant / microbrewery located in Kansas City, Kansas at the entrance of the Legends Lifestyle Center which is located near the Nebraska Furniture Mart, Cabela's and the Kansas City Raceway. This 805,000 square foot, open air lifestyle center collectively creates the single largest tourist attraction in the state of Kansas.

"Our Legends location in Kansas City, Kansas marks our 4th restaurant opening in less than 7 months and our 2nd in the Kansas City metro area. We are excited about the opportunities for our restaurants in Kansas as our value proposition - a great dining experience at reasonable prices - matches perfectly with the practicalities of our Kansas City customers," said Steve Wagenheim, Granite City Food & Brewery's President and CEO. With the Legends opening, Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. currently operates 12 Granite City Food & Brewery casual dining restaurants featuring made-from-scratch food and handcrafted beers. Its broad menu offers traditional and regional foods served in generous portions at reasonable prices, affording guests an excellent value and great dining experience. Its first Granite City location, in St. Cloud, MN, opened in June 1999. Subsequently, the Company opened restaurants in Sioux Falls, SD, Fargo, ND, West Des Moines, IA, Cedar Rapids, IA, Davenport, IA, Lincoln, NE, Maple Grove and Eagan, MN, Wichita, KS, Kansas City, Missouri, and now, Kansas City, Kansas.
