Brewery news

America’s largest brewer, Anheuser-Busch is sending 12,500 cases of canned drinking water to Montgomery, Ala., to ship to relief agencies for victims of Hurricane Katrina, St. Louis Business Journal communicated on August 29.

The brewer will hold the water in Montgomery until the storm passes then ship it to relief agencies in Louisiana and Mississippi. It is also prepared to send more water if necessary.

The water was canned at its Cartersville, Ga., brewery. A-B subsidiary Metal Container Corp. in Rome, Ga., contributed the cans.
