Canada: Molson Canada announced on April 6 that Mark Hunter has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer, Molson Canada. Mark Hunter joins Molson Canada from Coors Brewers Ltd. UK.

The new Chief Commercial Officer role was created to enhance Molson Canada's go-to-market strategy. In his role, Mark Hunter will have accountability for all brand marketing, media, Molson Sports & Entertainment activities and will incorporate market development responsibilities later this year. The larger, more diversified company resulting from the Molson-Coors merger creates a stronger platform for growth and greater opportunities for employees over the long term; this appointment is a reflection of that.

"Through the Molson-Coors merger, the company now has access to a broader internal pool of talent and Mark Hunter's experience and success in the beer industry will benefit the Canadian business unit," stated Kevin Boyce, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Coming from Coors Brewers Ltd. in the U.K., Mark Hunter was instrumental in building the strength of their brand portfolio. During his 16 years with the organization, he has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility including: Brand Director-Carling, Marketing Director Bass Brewers Ltd and most recently he was Marketing & International Director. Mark Hunter has an honours Bachelor degree in Business & Administration from the University of Strathclyde (Scotland).

Hunter will report directly to Kevin Boyce, President and Chief Executive Officer of Molson Canada, and will be based in Toronto, effective May 9 2005.

With roots dating back to 1786, Molson Canada has a time-honoured tradition of brewing quality beers. The company's award-winning brand portfolio includes Molson Canadian, Coors Light, Molson Export, Molson Dry, Rickard's, and A Marca Bavaria. Part of the Molson Coors Brewing Company, the world's fifth largest brewer, Molson Canada employs 3,800 Canadians and operates five breweries across Canada.
