USA, Pensilvania: Pittsburgh Brewing Company could be close to resolving a bill from the Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority for more than $4 million. The maker of Iron City and I.C. Light missed a court-imposed deadline of Sept. 30 for payment. But an authority attorney said the authority would accept $1.6 million to settle unpaid water bills Associated Press revealed on October 6.

Pittsburgh Brewing must pay about $860,000 in coming weeks to meet the $1.6 million target, said attorney Clifford Levine, who is representing the authority. Still unresolved are $2.4 million in sewer bills dating more than five years. Levine said there were discussions about giving Pittsburgh Brewing another 180 days to settle that account.
