Mason’s first craft brewery is set to debut this week with a weekend-long celebration, Hamilton Journal News reported on September 13.

16 Lots Brewing Company will open Friday, Sept. 15, at 753 Reading Road and offer a 10-barrel brewing system that will be producing its flagship and seasonal offerings all year round.

The grand opening will feature all six flagship beers on tap, including The Major German Pilsner, Treaty American Wheat Ale, Muddy Creek Oatmeal Stout, War Horse India Pale Ale, Homestead Amber Ale and 1803 American Pale Ale.

16 Lots Brewing Company was founded by Mike Burton, a 21-year marketing executive, and Jeff Cosgrove, a 20-year home brewer whose primary career was in the paper industry.

“We could not be more proud to show our community what we have created this coming Friday,” Burton said. “Jeff’s beers turned out great, as did the space.”

16 Lots’ in-house restaurant will be Mad Monks Pizza Co., which will offer New York style pizza.

There’s ample space inside for a large crowd via 140 seats and an additional 72 seats outside.

16 Lots Brewing Company plans to open to the public following a 1 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony Friday. It also will be open from noon to midnight Saturday and noon until 7 p.m. Sunday.

Regular hours following the grand opening weekend will be 3 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays; 3 to 11 p.m. Thursdays; 2 p.m. to midnight Fridays; noon to midnight Saturdays; and noon to 7 p.m. Sundays.
