Brewery news

CBC News reports that a group of commerce students at Mount Allison University are laying the groundwork to open a nanobrewery in Sackville.

The launch of Bagtown Brewing is the end goal of an entrepreneurship class project that students Jane Rouse, Emily MacKinnon, Robbie Baxter and Anthony Maddalena are working on under the tutelage of professor Nauman Farooqi.

According to the article, the students have spent the fall semester establishing branding for the brewery, renting space in a former RCMP garage, and ordering brewing equipment. Assuming all licensing is completed on time, the partners plan to have the brewery up and running early in the new year.
