E-Malt.com News article: USA, PA: Beers by Pizza Boy Brewing finally coming to Pittsburgh
Brewery news

One of the best and most innovative breweries in Pennsylvania is finally coming to Pittsburgh. From superhopped IPA’s to coffee infused stouts to barrelaged sours, Pizza Boy brews world class beers to fit a variety of pallets, Brewbound.com reported on April 14.

Pizza Boy prides themselves on an extremely in depth and high quality barrel aging program. They use only quality charred oak, spent wine and liquor barrels to create complex and wild creations for limited bottle releases and drafts. With over a hundred barrels and a recently expanded facility to increase storage, Pizza Boy is committed to bringing more of their exceptional sours and barrelaged beers to market than ever before.

Newcomer Steel City Beer Wholesalers will be importing and distributing the brewery in Western PA. Based in Lawrenceville, Steel City Beer focuses on distributing craft beer without being financially controlled by a major brand. Pizza Boy is the second of many top quality craft breweries that Steel City Beer has lined up to bring to the Western PA market.

Pizza Boy is set to launch in the Pittsburgh market in early May. There will be several launch events at local bars and bottle shops. More updates will follow on social media as the launch nears.

For fans of great craft beer, Pizza Boy’s products will be a welcome addition to the Pittsburgh beer scene. Sunny Side Up Stout (Beer Advocate Rating 95), West Shore Hampden IPA (Beer Advocate Rating 87) as well as Eternal Sunshine American Wild Ale (Beer Advocate Rating 89) are just some of their incredible offerings. With some of the highest rated and most innovative selections in the region, Pizza Boy should take off in the Pittsburgh Market.
