E-Malt.com News article: Latvia: Beer output declines 11.51% in January

A total of 47.55 hl of beer were produced in Latvia in January 2016, which is a reduction by 11.51% as compared to January 2015, informs LETA, according to the information from the Latvian State Revenue Service.

In January 2016, Latvia imported 43.9 hl of beer, down 0.13% from January 2015.

Altogether 78.54 hl of beer were released for consumption in Latvia in January this year, down 17.78% year-on-year.

Beer exports rose 58.42% in January 2016 to 6.03 hl compared to 3.81hl in January 2015.

Beer production in Latvia in 2015 totalled 0.86 mln hl - a 12% drop from 2014.
