Brewery news

BlogTO reports that a contact brewery that has been on hiatus for several years will soon be revived as a brewery and taproom in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood.

Radical Road Brewing was founded by Jon Hodd and Simon Da Costa, brewers at Black Oak Brewery who used that facility to brew two limited run beers – Canny Man, a Scotch ale aged in whisky barrels; and The Wayward Son, a strong Belgian ale aged in pinot noir barrels – back in 2013.

The stand-alone version of Radical Road is expected to open this spring at 1177 Queen Street East near Jones Avenue in Toronto’s east end.
