The bearded owners of the Frothy Beard Brewing Company, a North Charleston-based craft brewery, announce a partnership with and investment from communications agency Push Digital, WCBD News reported on October 29.

The investment from Push, headquartered in downtown Charleston and with its Push Advocacy sister agency in Columbia, creates new opportunities for Frothy Beard, according to Michael Biondi, co-owner.

“New opportunities for new adventures! Frothy has a dedicated following from beer geeks who are looking for something completely different. Now we’re going to be able to expand not just that following, but also many beer drinker’s taste buds, ” Biondi said, a sentiment echoed by his partners Steve McCauley and Joey Siconolfi.

Push is known as one of the premiere political digital agencies in the United States. The agency previously led the legislative and marketing efforts to pass the South Carolina Pint Law and Stone Law, two new laws credited for the explosion of South Carolina’s craft beer scene. CEO Wesley Donehue is currently the Chief Digital Strategist for Marco Rubio for President.

With Push on board, Frothy is planning a move to a new, bigger location. The expansion and acquisition of new equipment means Frothy will be available in more locations across South Carolina.

“We’re passionate about brewing beer that you just can’t find anywhere else. With Wesley on board, we will be producing a whole lot more beer while giving Charleston residents and visitors a fun brewery adventure,” Biondi said.

The four beer enthusiasts plan to keep the exotic flavors made from locally sourced ingredients that Frothy is known for—and add more.

The new location—to be announced soon—will be “even frothier,” according to Donehue, “with a bigger and even cooler taproom. We couldn’t be more pumped.”
